Using analysis for transaction references

Analysis can be used for individual parts of the transaction reference. To do this check the Use Analysis check box against the required part in the Transaction References record.

  1. From the Action menu, select Format Analysis to display the Trans Ref Analysis Details Setup form:
    Transaction Reference Format & Short Heading

    These fields are automatically populated from the current Transaction Reference record.

    Part Number

    One of four parts of the transaction reference that the analysis is to be applied to.

    Analysis Directory Id 1-4

    The analysis directory to be used.

    Analysis Dimension 1-4

    The analysis dimension to be used.

  2. From the Action menu select Maintain Analysis to set up specific analysis details for each part. The Trans Ref Analysis Struct Setup form is displayed.

    These fields are automatically populated from the current record.

    Transaction Reference Format & Short Heading

    The transaction reference format and short heading.

    Part Number

    The part number.

    Analysis Directory 1-4

    The analysis directory 1-4.

    Analysis Dimension 1-4

    The analysis dimension 1-4.

  3. Specify the analysis structure:
    Analysis Code 1-4

    The required Analysis Code.

    Transaction Reference Constant

    The constant value to be applied to the transaction reference.

    Number Stream Code

    The number stream to be applied.

    Uwaga:  You must specify either a transaction reference constant or a number stream code. You cannot use both.
  4. Save your changes.
