Setting up the security database connection

Uwaga: This topic is only relevant if you are running an Oracle database on a UNIX platform.

During installation, a SunSystems Security schema is generated, and an Oracle user is created called GSUSER and granted access to the schema. This sets up the configuration for accessing the Security Repository on Oracle/UNIX.

The password for this user is initially set as the username and should be amended as soon as possible.

SunSystems Security policy rules do not apply in this context; the password complexity is governed by the Oracle installation as the password must pass its validation process.

  1. From the Settings menu select Security Database Connection.
  2. Specify this information:
    Schema Name
    This displays the name of the SunSystems security schema and cannot be edited.
    Password
    Enter the password to be used for the GSUSER as described above.
    Re-enter Password
    Re-enter the password in order to validate it.
    Last Updated Date
    This shows the date and time when the password was updated.
  3. Save your changes.
