Editing permissions using form actions
Ensure you have followed the steps outlined in Accessing Form Permissions Editor before continuing.
On the Form Actions dialog:
- Select the group whose
permissions you want to edit in the
Available Operator Groups
field.
Note: If you want to set restrictions for more than one group, you should set them for the group called ZZZZZ System first. You can then add different restrictions for other individual groups.
- Use the up arrow button to display the selected group in the Specified Operator Groups field.
- With the selected group still highlighted in Specified Operator Groups, select the menu actions you want to restrict from the Available Actions frame and click Enable, Disable, or Hide, as appropriate. Enable allows permissions to the currently selected menu action. Disable removes the permissions and Hide makes the currently selected menu action invisible. You can change your selection as often as you like.
You can add as many groups as are available. If you add further groups, you can base the permissions on the settings you have chosen for another group. To do this, use the check box called Add with XXXXXX settings, where XXXXXX is the name of the group whose settings you want to copy.
For every action which opens a form (Sub Form) you can specify which form is to be used with that specific function (Sub Function). The Sub Function ID column of the Available Actions displays the Sub Function ID if applicable. You can specify a form to be used with a function by clicking the button. The Select Action Sub Form dialog is displayed. Use the drop down list to select a Sub Form Code and click . The specified form is then always called by the selected function at runtime.
Saving Your Changes
You are prompted to save changes when you close either a form or Form Permissions Editor itself. If you want to save changes at other times, from the
menu select .Removing Group Settings
If you want to remove all the settings for a group, highlight the group in the Specified Operator Groups field and click the down arrow so that it disappears from the list.
If you want to remove only some of the settings, click Enable, Disable, or Hide to change the permissions.
