Depreciation Timing Rules (FDU)

  1. Open Depreciation Timing Rules (FDU).
  2. Specify this information:
    Timing Rule Code

    The code that uniquely identifies the timing rule.

    Name

    A name for the timing rule.

    Operating Periods

    The number of periods for which depreciation are calculated during a financial year. This is normally 12, i.e. monthly accounting periods. This value cannot exceed the maximum number of periods specified in Business Unit Setup.

    Period Ratio 1-60

    The proportion of the total depreciation to allocate to each period. This field defaults to zero. Leave as zero if no amount is to be apportioned to a period.
