Setting a Revised or New Year's Budget
You can maintain up to 10 different budget ledgers within a business unit and use these alongside your actuals ledger. The primary budget identified in Business Unit Setup is the budget used for budget checking. You can use other budget ledgers to hold additional budgets or forecasts. For example, revised budgets, next year's budget, or last year's budget.
Uplifting Budgets for a New Year/Period
Budgets for one year/period can be increased by a percentage to become the budgets for the subsequent financial year. This can be achieved by transfering the budgets to a spreadsheet package, manipulating the figures, and then reimporting them using Ledger Import.
