Enabling Access to the Journal Types Posting Override Form

To enable members of a user group to access the special version of the journal types form:

1. In Security Console or User Manager, create a function extension for Journal Types Posting Override. To do this, open Settings > SunSystems > v6.3 > Function Extensions.
2. Select Journal Type (JNT) and click Extend.
3. In the Add Function form, enter JDX for the Form Name.
4. In the Language Specific Text pane, enter a name for your new extension in Function Text, and enter a Suffix for your extension, for example, X. You can create an additional line for each of your SunSystems languages, as appropriate. See Security Console or User Manager help for more information.
5. In Security Console or User Manager, give the relevant user group permissions to the new function extension. To do this, edit the relevant user group, select SunSystems > v6.3 > Function Permissions and select the newly created function. See User Manager help for more information.
6. In User Group Menu Designer, add the new function extension to the relevant user group's menu. See User Group Menu Designer help for more information.
