Entering Journal Notes

Journal Notes allow you to add free format text to journal lines, to record any information considered pertinent but unable to be recorded elsewhere in the system. They can be added, amended, and deleted via the Journal Notes form which is accessed from the Action menu in:

  • Ledger Entry (LEN), by selecting Line > Notes.
  • Account Allocations (ACA), by selecting Notes.
  • Account Inquiry (ACQ) [Control Desks In-Tray], by selecting Notes.

Up to 99 notes can be added to each journal line.

Journal Notes can be included on reports and statements.
