Adding an Opportunity
The user can create a new Opportunity from the Opportunities screen.
To add a new opportunity:
- Click + on the Opportunities screen. The New Opportunity screen is displayed.

Specify this information:
- Description
- The description of the opportunity.
- Information
- Use this field to specify a text with background details on the opportunity.
- Sales Office
- A department that is identified in the
company business model to manage the business partner's sales
relations. The sales office is used to identify the locations that
are responsible for the organization's sales activities.
Note: If the user sets the Opportunity status to In Process or Dead then the sales representative’s default Sales Office is filled.
- Sold-to BP
- The business partner who orders goods or services from your organization, who owns the configurations you maintain, or for whom you perform a project. Usually a customer's purchase department.
- Assigned to
- The sales representative to whom the opportunity is assigned. Defaults to the user creating Opportunity.
- First Contact
- The date on which the first contact is made with the business partner.
- Expected Close Date
- The date the business partner is expected to decide on the opportunity.
- Status
- The status of the opportunity. Possible
values are:
- Preliminary
- In Process
- Dead.
- Sales Process
- A standard sales methodology that must be followed when working on an opportunity. A sales process is split up in phases. The value is defaulted from the CRM parameter (tdsmi0108m000) session.
- Phase
- The identification of a stage or phase in the sales process. For example, analysis, proposal, negotiation.
- Include in Forecast
- For opportunities with the Preliminary or In Process status, select this check box if the Expected Revenue must be included in the forecast.
- Expected Revenue
- The revenue that is expected from the opportunity.
- Attachments
- You can add attachments. You can capture image/video or
select existing image/video/any file.
Note:
The added attachments can be viewed in Related Information Context app for LN in Infor OS by selecting the newly created Opportunity in the Opportunities (tdsmi1110m000) or in the Opportunity (tdsmi1610m000) session in LN.

Click Save/Tick icon.
Note: The newly created Opportunity is added to the Opportunities (tdsmi1110m000) session, in LN.
