Violations by Rule

The By Rule tab provides more details around the violations generated per rule. This tab displays the following details:
  • The violated rule is displayed as a hyperlink.
  • The rule book to which the violated rule belongs is displayed below the rule name .
  • If a parameter list is attached to the rule, the name of the parameter list is displayed in brown below the rule name.
  • The priority of violations is displayed in the Priority column.
  • The number of violations generated for that rule is displayed in the Violations column
Click a rule link to view violations generated for that rule. You can take one of the following actions:
  • View individual violations
  • Take action to remediate violations
  • Download violation details
    Download the complete details of a violation to an Excel spreadsheet as follows:
    1. On the By Rule tab, click the rule that is violated. A pop-up window displays the list of objects causing violations.
    2. Select the check-box next to the required violation.
    3. Click the Download Details icon. The complete details of that violation such as transaction codes or authorizations assigned to the user will be copied in a CSV format and is displayed on the Reports tab.
Violations displayed may also depend on the following scenarios:
  • Scenario 1: If a rule is deleted after analyzing data, the violations related to the deleted rule is closed. These closed violations can only be viewed by users having an Administrator role. Users with roles such as Business Process Owner, Auditor or any custom role will not be able to view the closed violations. However, all users having the authority to execute reports can view the closed violations reports on the Reports page as rule security is not applicable on the reports page .
  • Scenario 2: If a rule is moved from one rule book to another after analyzing data, the violations related to the moved rule will appear as Active violations. Users with roles such as Administrator, Business Process Owner or the rule owner can take actions on these violations.
  • Scenario 3: If a rule is moved and then the parent rule book is deleted after analyzing data, violations related to the moved rule are closed. These closed violations can be viewed by users with roles such as Administrator, Business Process Owners and rule owners. However, all users having the authority to execute reports can view the closed violations reports on the Reports page as rule security is not applicable on the reports page .
