Archives

The Archive tab on the Configuration page enables you configure these conditions:
  • Logs: Use this tab to:
    • Retain all logs: Select this option to retain all logs in the system. However, to avoid disk space issues you must establish a regular cleanup schedule.
    • Delete logs older than days on cleanup: Specify the number of days for which logs should be retained in Certification Manager before they are deleted. The default is 7. Select a day and time to schedule a cleanup task.
    • Archive and delete logs older than days on cleanup: Specify the number of days after which logs should be archived before they are deleted. In the Location for Archived Files text box, provide a path to store archived logs. Specify the number of days to retain the archived logs. The default value is 365 days. The archived logs are deleted from the archival path after the specified number of days. Select a day and time to schedule a cleanup task.
    • On the Cleanup Schedule panel, select the check box next to the required weekdays and select the required time. Logs are archived on the selected weekdays at the specified time.
    Note:  'Everyone' must have read and write permissions to the folder that is specified to store the archived logs.

    Click Save after configuring the above settings.

  • Audit Data Setting:This functionality enables you to retain or purge the audit data. These settings can be configured:
    • Retain All Audit Data: Select this option to retain all audit data. This option is selected by default.
    • Purge Audit Data: Select this option to retain the audit data for a specific time period. Specify the number of days to retain the audit data. All the data beyond the specified days will be purged.
  • Personal Data: This functionality enables you to retain or purge the personal data collected. These settings can be configured:
    • Retain All Personal Data Collected: Select this option to retain all the collected personal data. This option is selected by default.
    • Purge Personal Data Collected: Select this option to retain the collected personal data for a specific time period. Specify the number of days to retain the collected data. All the data beyond the specified days will be purged.
  • Reports and Notifications: This functionality enables Administrators to retain or purge the report subscriptions and the email notifications. These settings can be configured:
    • Reports
      • Retain All Subscribed Reports : Select this option to retain all the reports subscribed by users. This option is selected by default.
      • Purge subscribed Reports: Select this option to retain the subscribed reports for a specific time period. Specify the number of days to retain the subscribed reports. All the report subscriptions beyond the specified days will be purged.
    • Notifications
      • Retain all Email Notifications : Select this option to retain all email notifications. This option is selected by default.
      • Purge Email Notifications : Select this option to retain the email notifications for a specific time period. Specify the number of days to retain the email notification. All the email notifications beyond the specified days will be purged.
