Scheduling a New Report

The New Schedule Report page enables you to create new schedules to generate reports in Certification Manager.

Note:  Before subscribing to reports, ensure that the report server user (the user in whose context the reporting services are running) has full permissions on the report schedule share path. This path can be configured on the Report Settings panel of the Configuration page.
Schedule a new report: To schedule a new report, select the required report from the drop-down list. The page to schedule the selected report is displayed. Provide the required information the following panels:
  • General Information: Use this panel to provide a unique name and description for the report subscription.
  • Filters
  • Schedule: Use the Schedule panel to schedule a date and time for the report to be generated.
    1. Select one of the following options to schedule a report:
      • Select Run now to generate the report immediately.
        Note:  When a report is generated in a Preview mode, the report opens in a new window. The title of the new window is always displayed in English, irrespective of the browser language, as the MSSSRS rendering displays the report files names as the title of the window.
      • Select Run Later to set a date and time to generate the report. If you select this option:
    2. Manually enter the required date and time to schedule the report. Alternatively, click the Calendar icon and the Time icon  to select a date and  time to generate the report.
    3. From the Recurrence drop-down select the required recurrence option. If you select Never the report is generated only once. If you select Daily the report is generated daily. If you select Weekly or Monthly, then you need to provide the weekday or the specific day of the month for the report to be generated.
    4. Set the end date on the Set End Date panel after which the report is not generated.
    5. Select the check box Store in my CM Inbox to store the output files in your Reports Inbox each time the report is generated.
    6. Select the check box Send by Email, to send the report by email. When you select this option, the following fields are displayed:
      • CM Users: In the CM Users field, specify the Certification Manager users to whom the report should be sent by email.
        1. Type-in a part of the user name in the autosuggest text box. A list of users matching the search criteria is displayed. Select the required user. Alternatively, click the Browse icon to search for users. The Browse Users pop-up window displays all the Certification Manager users with a valid email ID.
        2. Select the required users.
        3. Click OK. This report is sent to all the selected users by email.
    7. From the Output Format drop-down list, select the type of format in which the report should be generated.
    8. Click Save.
    Note:  If you wish to view the report in the WebArchive format, download and save the web archive file to your local machine before opening it. Unless you do this, images are not displayed on the report.
