Unposted Job Transactions

Use this form to create an editable list of shop floor control, labor, machine, and move-to-stock transactions. This feature allows you to review the transactions before posting them to job orders.

Note:
  • When entering a job transaction on the Unposted Job Transactions form, if the quantity complete is greater than the quantity required on the operation, a warning message displays.
  • When job materials are not fully issued to the job, and you attempt to enter an unposted job transaction that completes the job, an error message displays. If the operation causing the error has more than 25 job materials assigned to it, the error message's OK button is obscured. If this occurs, press Enter to close the error screen.

Depending on how you set the Perform Additional Validation parameter on the Shop Floor Control Parameters form, error messages may appear if you enter incorrect quantities on this form, allowing you to correct the errors before posting the transactions.

After entering job transactions, you can post them using the Post Job Transactions form. If you post an incorrect transaction, you can reverse it by entering a negative transaction.

For more information, see Reversing a Job Transaction.

If the Warehouse, Location, or Lot fields change, the grid on the Pieces tab automatically refreshes to retrieve the corresponding records.

These tabs are available:

  • Use the Co-products tab  to create an editable list of co-product transactions. This feature allows you to review the transactions before posting them to the job orders file. This tab is available only for co-product jobs that use the transaction types of run, move, and machine on this form.
  • Use the Details tab to record quantities completed, scrapped, or moved, as well as start and end times. If you are using the Printing and Packaging Industry Pack, you can select the Use Sheet Qty field to instead specify the number of sheets completed, scrapped, and moved, which is then converted to the job quantity. This field is enabled only when PrintingPack is enabled on the Optional Modules form, and only when the Job Qty Per Sheet field, on the Job Operations form, is greater than zero.
  • Use the Co-jobs tab to create an editable list of item-specific co-job transactions. This tab is available only if you are using the Molding Industry Pack and only for co-job transactions that are shared and that use the transaction type of Run or Move.
  • Use the Serial Numbers tab or area when you issue or receive a serial-tracked item. On some forms, this tab or area of the form is enabled after you enter the serial-tracked item's quantity and any other required information such as location. On other forms, the fields on this tab are enabled when you select Preassign Serials.
  • Use the Backflush Lots tab to select lot-tracked items for inclusion in a backflushing operation. To generate a list of potential lot-tracked items, click Generate Lots. Then from the list that is returned, select the items to include in the backflush. This tab is enabled only if the Backflush Lot Numbers option is selected on the Inventory Parameters form.
  • Use the Backflush Serials tab to select serial-tracked items for inclusion in a backflushing operation. To generate a list of potential serial-tracked items, click Generate Serials. Then from the list that is returned, select the items to include in the backflush. This tab is enabled only if the Backflush Serial Numbers option is selected on the Inventory Parameters form. However, if the items are both lot-tracked and serial-tracked, and the grid on the Backflush Lots tab is populated, this tab is disabled until the Target Qty equals the Selected Qty on the Backflush Lots tab.
