General tab

On the General tab, you can start, stop, and restart the scheduler service.

Click the Start button, to start the scheduler service. The message Scheduler service has been started. is displayed. Click OK, to close the message pane. The scheduler service is now active and ready to control and schedule tasks of registered report catalog connections.

To stop the scheduler service, click the Stop button. The message Scheduler service has been stopped. is displayed. Click OK, to close the message pane.

To restart the scheduler service, click the Restart button. The message Scheduler service has been restarted. is displayed. Click OK, to close the message pane.

To refresh the view, click the Refresh button.

In the Scheduler Settings field group, you can limit the number of tasks that can be processed simultaneously by the scheduler service and define the timeout period for the processing of a task:

Scheduler Settings Description
Maximum number of concurrent tasks Select this check box and specify the maximum number of tasks that are processed by the scheduler service at the same time.
Timeout for tasks Select this check box and specify the time limit in minutes for a task that is processed.
