Creating filters

in the tree right-click Log Settings - User or Log Settings - Computer underneath the General Settings node, and select New Filter. Specify a name and a description in the dialog. Select the check box Active to enable the filter. You may switch the filter on and off later:

In the drop-down list Type select the logging method:

Select the event category that must be logged from the drop-down list Level: Critical Error, Error, Warning, Information, and Debug. Each category includes the preceding ones. In the Event IDs text box specify IDs of events that must be logged:

Note: Changes of an active filter immediately affect the logging. Very extensive logging may consume large portions of the system resources, for example, a filter that logs all events.
