Creating a DataLink Model

Note: To create a DataLink model, you require the Edit permission in the permission management of the superordinate project. The creator of a DataLink model receives the roles AdministratorRole, MasterRole, and ViewRole.

To create a DataLink model:

  1. Right-click the Projects folder in the tree underneath the repository and select New Project from the shortcut menu.
  2. Specify the project name and a description and click OK. The new project is displayed underneath the Projects folder in the tree.
  3. Click the new project in the tree and select Create DataLink Model from the shortcut menu. The DataLink Model is displayed in the tree.
  4. Projects that have a DataLink model object can be used by the DataLink Service to store permissions in Repository. When you click DataLink Model, the view DataLink Model Permission Management opens.

  5. To delete the DataLink model, right-click DataLink Model in the tree and select Delete.
