Repository Registrations

A repository registration represents a repository in the tree of Infor BI Repository Administration. The registration of a repository contains the connection information, for example, the log-on data and the server address (Oracle or SQL). You use registrations to access the settings and data of a repository. You administer the registrations in the folder Repository Registrations.

Each registration belongs to one of the configuration types User, Computer, Enterprise, or Service. The configuration type of a registration determines the scope of the settings and data of the linked repository.

In a repository registration there are five levels, on which you administer permissions.

Each repository registration contains the node User Management (central User Management for Infor BI) and the folder Projects. The Projects folder may contain several projects. Each project contains the folders OLAP Permission Management and Report Catalogs. The following database objects are used conjointly by the report catalogs of a project: lists, variables, calculations, text elements, and database aliases of Infor BI Application Studio and Infor BI Office Plus.
