Creating a DAC cube for a dimension

To create a DAC cube for a dimension:

  1. Click Dimensions in the Database group on the ribbon.
  2. Select the dimension for which to create the DAC.
  3. Click Properties.
  4. Click the Access Permissions tab.
  5. Click New Cube.
    In the New DAC Cube dialog you can accept the suggested name or enter another. We recommend that you name all DAC cubes using the letters ’DAC’ and the first five letters of the dimension that the DAC cube is controlling. A DAC cube name can have a maximum of eight characters.
  6. Click OK.
    The DAC cube is displayed in the Cubes and Data Areas dialog.
