Enabling client-side spreading

Client-side spreading can be enabled on any formula report. However, it will typically be used only in reports in which the aggregated elements are calculated by Microsoft Excel formulas.

To enable client-side spreading:

Create a formula report, for example by converting an Ad-hoc report.
Save the report to the Global Reports folder.
Select the report in the Report Catalog and click Properties.
Specify True as the value of the Allow Writeback property.
The Client-side Splashing,Lock Cell, Unlock Cell,Set Constraints and Remove all Cell Locks and Constraints buttons are enabled in the Write Back group on the ribbon.
