Using named sets

Named sets are subsets of list elements which are stored in the database for reuse. Named sets are displayed in a Named Sets folder under each dimension in the Database Structure. The folder must be enabled in the Database Structure Options dialog.

To use a named set in a list definition:

  1. In an Ad-hoc report, select the dimension to which the named set relates and open the List Designer.
  2. Click Select Set in the toolbar of the Structure Selection pane and select a set from the list.
