Source databases

To establish the connection to a source database, you have to consider this:

• If you use Data Links, install the appropriate Data Link for the database type. The connections are administered in the Settings dialog of the Data Link service. The connections are recognized in Connector by means of the connection string to the Data Link service, and displayed. The business units of the source database are automatically recognized by the Data Link, for example, companies or reporting entities.
• If you use ODBC connections, enable the ODBC connections in the Connector Settings dialog.
