Specifying the format of conditions
Select
or click on the Objects toolbar.You can apply a cell format or a style when a condition is met.
Create a condition. To apply a style, select the condition in the List of conditions and select one of the pre-defined styles, from the list.

To create a format for the condition, select Edit Format dialog. The button is disabled if a style is selected.

To select which format is used when multiple conditions are met, select a method from the Use format list.
Select
to apply the format of the first true condition.Select
to combine the formats of the conditions that are met.If no condition is met, the cell format is used.
If you merge valid conditions, we recommend that you use styles instead of cell formats. This is because:
- If two formats specify the same property, only one will be applied (which one cannot be predicted).
- It is easier in the Edit Styles dialog than in the Edit Format dialog, to see which values have been changed from the default.
