Hiding reports from report viewers

You can specify that a report or folder is not visible in, for example, the content browser of Infor Business Intelligence Dashboards or in the report tree in Infor BI Application Studio WebServices. You use this feature if, for example, you have reports which act as steps in a wizard. See, for example, the self-service widgets in the Best Practices sample database. There are several steps in the creation of each widget. There is a report for each step. These reports are useful only as steps in the creation of a widget so they are hidden to prevent users from opening them individually in Dashboards or in Infor BI Application Studio WebServices.

To hide a report from Dashboards or Infor BI Application Studio WebServices:

  1. In Design mode, open the report to hide.
  2. Right-click the report in the Report Catalog and select Properties.
  3. In the Options tab of the report properties, specify True as the value of the 'Hide from report viewers' property.
