Creating hyperblocks

You can create a hyperblock by drag and drop from the Database Structure or by using the Create Hyperblock Wizard.

You can drag any of these objects from the Database Structure into a report cell to create a hyperblock:

  • Dimension
  • Hierarchy
  • List
  • Measures folder
  • Measure
  • Level
  • Set

To create a hyperblock by drag & drop.

  1. Open the report in Design Mode.
  2. Drag an object from the Database Structure and drop it onto the worksheet.
    To specify the initial size of the hyperblock, first select a block of cells.
  3. Click the rotation icon in the top, left corner of the hyperblock to specify whether the list should expand horizontally or vertically.
  4. Edit the properties of a hyperblock in the Object Properties dialog by right-clicking the hyperblock and selecting Object Properties.
