Creating calculations

To create a calculation:
  1. Right-click the Calculations folder in the Database Structure and select New > Calculation.
    Note: The Calculations folder is only displayed when you select it in the options of the Database Structure.

    The name which you give to the calculation is displayed as an element in reports.
  2. Click the calculation.
    The Edit Calculation dialog displays the elements of the dimension.
  3. To create the calculation, double-click elements and combine them with standard arithmetical operators. A number of functions are available from the Functions button. Place the cursor in the calculation at the point at which to insert a function and then double-click the function.
