Displaying the Preview pane

The Preview pane displays the elements of a dimension, hierarchy, list, or named set selected in the Database Structure or on the worksheet.

To open the Preview pane, right-click an object in the Database Structure and select Preview. Or, select View > Preview. The pane opens in the List Designer and is enabled when you select a list. To search elements in the Preview pane, click Search.

If you drag an element from the Preview pane to the worksheet, the Insert Elements dialog is displayed. In the Output format list, specify whether to display the unique name or the caption.

Note: The other options of the Insert Elements dialog are used in Infor BI Office Plus.

Preview pane options

To preview changes to a list automatically, click Calculate Automatically. Otherwise, you must click Calculate to update the preview.

The Preview pane contains a Search option.
