Dataservices

A dataservice can be used, for example, to load data into the Infor App Builder UI, or to save data from the UI to the API.

Dataservices connect the App Builder UI to Infor APIs, using Infor ION API technology, as a persistent reference, enabling the use of App Builder across different applications.

Dataservices can be managed, imported, or exported to and from App Builderto the Repository. This enables you to share them and move them between different environments and installations.

For a dataservice to work in App Builder, you must have the appropriate system or ERP in your Xi installation. If, for example, you have Infor M3, Infor Document Management, Infor Ming.le^TM, or Infor Distribution SX.e installed and configured in Xi, then you can use their respective APIs in App Builder.
