Accessing Configuration Manager
Access to Configuration Manager is from the Configuration Manager (CGM) function in SunSystems navigator or from the SunSystems web.
To use Configuration Manager, you must be a Configuration Administrator, or a Configuration user. The appropriate group for you depends on how you will be using Configuration Manager.
- Configuration Administrator: a user who is assigned to the Configuration Administrators security group. This user allows you access to the full set of system properties.
- Configuration user: a normal user who has been granted function permissions to access Configuration Manager. This user allows you access to specific settings, defined by function access. Categories are not visible from the Configuration Manager homepage, unless the user has access to at least one property from that category.
The Configuration Administrators group is available in User Manager.
