ReceiptNotes

This component runs the Inventory Receipt Note Entry (IRE) function and is used to acknowledge the receipt of goods into an organization. You can record what goods have been received, where they have physically been stored, if any have been rejected, and where the rejected goods are stored.

Receipt notes are normally used to update inventory. However, inventory can be updated at other stages such as Order Confirmation, Invoice Confirmation, etc.
