Configuring the session settings

Remarque: Clicking Default button resets the property to the system default value.

Configure the session settings.

  1. Open Configuration Manager (CGM).
  2. Select Application > Session Settings.
  3. Configure the machine settings:
    Scope
    Select the servers for which the machine settings are relevant. To apply machine settings to all servers, select DEFAULT. To apply machine settings to a specific server, select the server name. The default value is DEFAULT.
    Enable Keystrokes
    Click On to record and replay a series of keystrokes. The default is On.
    Initial Threads Number
    The initial number of threads in the thread pool. The number must be less than or equal to Max Threads Number. The default is 4.
    Max Allowed Global Sessions
    The maximum number of global sessions. Specify 0 to allow an unlimited number of global sessions. The default is 200.
    Max Threads Number
    The maximum number of threads in the thread pool. The number must be greater than or equal to Initial Threads Number. The default is 32.
    Protect Session
    Click On to retain a suspended session. That is, a new session is created instead of reusing the suspended session, if only one suspended session exists in the session pool. Click Off to reuse the suspended session. The default is Off.
    Retained Session Threshold
    The number of sessions retained per operator. If a session is suspended, thus exceeding the threshold, the suspended session is deleted. The default is 3.
    Time Before Recycle Session (seconds)
    The time, in seconds, a session can remain suspended before it is deleted. The default is 0.
    Times to Suspend a Session
    The number of times a session can be suspended before it is deleted. The default is 0.
    Work Folder Location
    The location of the work folder. The default value is %(SunSystems\install.AppDataLocation)%\_work.
  4. Configure System settings:
    Dataset Stamp Interval (hours)
    The default is 2.
    Deadlock Retry
    The time, in seconds, to wait before re-running a failed transaction. The default is 10.
  5. Save your changes.
