Adding contact notifications

You can use the Notifications tab of the Contact InfoViewer to specify the notifications that a contact would like to receive. For example, customers might want to receive email notifications when the status of an inspection changes.

Note: You are not required to add notification types for a contact to receive notifications. When sending a notification, Infor Public Sector first checks the contact's notification preferences. If the notification type is not defined for the contact, Infor Public Sector uses the default notification method that is specified in the Hansen8 configuration. If no default method is specified, then the notification is not sent.
  1. Open the correct contact in the Contact InfoViewer.
  2. Select the Notifications tab.
  3. Click Add above the Notifications grid.
  4. Specify this information:
    Notification Type
    Specify the code for the type of notification that the contact would like to receive.
    Notification Method
    Specify the code for the notification method, such as text or email.
    Reference #
    If the customer wants to receive text alerts, specify the phone number.
    Details
    If the customer wants to receive email alerts, specify the email address.
  5. Click Save.
