Assigning a part to a stock area

  1. Load the part you want into the Part InfoViewer.
    You access the Part InfoViewer by clicking the Part # link for the part on any form that shows the link.
  2. On the Stock tab, click Add above the grid.
  3. Specify the stock area where the part is stored in the Stock Area field.
    If your agency has divided the stock area into stock locations, specify the location where the part is stored in the Location field.
  4. In the Unit of Issue field, specify the type of units the stock is issued in, such as in boxes or on pallets.
  5. In the Qty per Unit of Issue field, specify the number of parts in each unit of stock, such as 20 parts per box.
  6. Under Order Information and Associated Information, specify any other information about the part.
    Note: The ordering information that you enter applies to all parts of this type in the stock area, regardless of location. If you update the ordering information for the part in one location, such as changing the reorder level, then it will be updated for all other locations within the same stock area.
  7. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector closes the dialog box and shows the stock area in the Stock Information grid.
