Assigning a part to a stock area

  1. Open the part you want in the Part InfoViewer.
  2. On the Stock tab, click Add above the grid.
  3. Specify this information:
    Stock Area
    Specify the stock area where the part is stored.
    Location
    If your agency has divided the stock area into stock locations, specify the location where the part is stored.
    Unit of Issue
    Specify the unit in which the part is issued, such as in boxes or on pallets.
    Qty per Unit of Issue
    Specify the number of parts in each unit of stock, such as 20 parts per box.
  4. Under Order Information and Associated Information, specify any other information about the part.
    Note: The ordering information that you enter applies to all parts of this type in the stock area, regardless of location. If you update the ordering information for the part in one location, such as changing the reorder level, then it will be updated for all other locations within the same stock area.
  5. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector closes the dialog box and shows the stock area in the Stock Information grid.
