Calculation Execution Options for Forecast Methods

To choose if the calculated forecast should be extrapolated, go to Menu > Data > Statistical Forecast Methods > New or Edit > Calculation Execution and configure the these execution options:

Execution Specification
Extrapolation

The number of periods into the future calculation must be specified to extrapolate the forecast.

If specified,"Number of periods" should be equal or larger than "Number of periods with trend". Seasonality is always applied if it is specified for the Forecast method

Note: Extrapolation is done after the end point for the forecast calculation is calculated.
Offset

Forecast Calculation Points are defined in the Dataset properties dialog, but the offset of the individual forecast method can be adjusted in the Calculation Execution dialog.

The Calculation Initialization Point defines the offset between Calculation Initialization Point and the Calculation Start Point in order to specify when the calculation for forecast method should start. A negative offset will move the Calculation Initialization Point before the Calculation Start Point, while an offset larger than zero means that the calculation will start after the specified Calculation Start Point.

Calculation Start Point and Calculation End Point specifies the length of periods for the Calculation Execution or limits the start and end points where M3 DMP records data.

Option Round to integer -  Specify if the calculation for forecast values and extrapolation should be rounded to whole numbers or not. If needed, mark the check box.
