Document Inquiry

The document inquiry displays tenant-level logs for all the activities created when communicating directly with third party web services, and not through ION. This is accessed by selecting Administration > Connectivity > Document Inquiry.

In the main page, a list of generated documents which need post generation processing are displayed. This table shows the corresponding log details:

Field Log detail
Accounting Entity Displays the accounting entity ID of the document.
Country Displays the country ID of the accounting entity.
Document Displays the document ID of the document.
Document Status Displays the status of the document. Click Status to display further details.
Service Name Displays the service name of the document.
Service Component Name Displays the service component name of the document.
File Name Displays the file name of the generated document.

IDM Outbound Indicates if the generated document has already been submitted to IDM.

Note: IDM statuses for Mexico services are not supported.
Gateway Status You can view and retrieve Gateway and Connectivity details here.

This table shows the available options upon viewing the gateway status:

Inquiry Description
Connectivity Displays how the document has gone through the ION API connector or Web Services Gateway.
Gateway Displays the modules that the document has gone through in the web services gateway such as connector setup and IDM submission. Only applicable with Web Services gateway.
HTTP Details Displays the specific details of the response.
Note: For an incomplete transmission (one of the methods has '0' in Is Completed column), you can resubmit the message through Document Recovery.

If you cannot find any of the details on the three windows, it could mean that the document used a different connector other than ION API and Web Services Gateway, the ION API setup is not set up correctly, or the document have not yet reached the connectivity.

The differences between connectivity within LSP and through LSP Direct are highlighted in this table:

Field Name LSP connectivity LSP Direct
Document Status ALL except Success, Fail, or Warn Success, Fail, or Warn only
Service Name blank
File Name blank
Note: Warn (Success with warning) = a mixture of Success and Failure.
