Cosmetics II tab settings

This section shows the settings for the Cosmetics II tab group in the Specify Chart Settings dialog box. ChartSetProperty and ChartGetProperty attribute names are also listed for each group.

X-Axis Name Cosmetics group

The settings in this group are all used to control the appearance of the X-axis name for the chart.

This table lists the settings you can make in the X-Axis Name Cosmetics group box of the Cosmetics II tab.

Font Color XAxisNameFontColor Specify the RGB value for the font color of the X-axis name, as a hexadecimal value (000000-FFFFFF).

You can double-click to display the Color dialog box, where you can select a color or define a custom font color for the X-axis name. The hexadecimal code displays after you click OK to exit the Color dialog box.

Font Size XAxisNameFontSize Specify the font size, in points (8 to 72), for the X-axis name.
Font Bold XAxisNameFontBold When selected (default), this option uses boldface for the X-axis name.
Font Italic XAxisNameFontItalic When selected, this option uses italics for the X-axis name.
Background Color XAxisNameBgColor Specify the RGB value for the background color of the X-axis name, as a hexadecimal value (000000-FFFFFF).

You can double-click to display the Color dialog box, where you can select a color or define a custom background color for the X-axis name. The hexadecimal code displays after you click OK to exit the Color dialog box.

Border Color XAxisNameBorderColor Specify the RGB value for the border color of the X-axis name, as a hexadecimal value (000000-FFFFFF).

Specify the transparency, from 0 (transparent) to 100 (opaque), to use for the various X-axis name field aspects.

The Alpha setting affects both the font and the background, while the Font Alpha affects only the font, and the Background Alpha affects only the X-axis background.

Border Padding XAxisNameBorderPadding Specify, in pixels, the padding to use between the X-axis name and the edge of the X-axis name area.
Border Radius XAxisNameBorderRadius Specify, in pixels, the X-axis name border radius.
Border Thickness XAxisNameBorderThickness Specify, in pixels, the thickness of the border around the X-axis name.
Border Is Dashed XAxisNameBorderIsDashed When selected, this option specifies that the border should be dashed.

If the Border Is Dashed option is selected, use these settings to specify the length of each dash and the gaps between dashes.

Y-Axis Name Cosmetics group

The settings in this group are all used to control the appearance of the Y-axis name for the chart.

The settings in this group are all used to control how the appearance of the data values on the chart change when the mouse pointer hovers over them.

Data Plot Hover Effects group

The settings in this group are all used to control how the appearance of the data plot elements on the chart change when the mouse pointer hovers over them.

This table lists the settings you can make in the Data Plot Hover Effects group box of the Cosmetics II tab.

Show Hover Effect ShowHoverEffect When selected, this option enables the hover effect for all elements on the chart.
Plot Hover Effect PlotHoverEffect When selected, this option enables the hover effect for data plot elements (such as columns, bars, pie slices, etc.).
