Converting an Opportunity to a Service Order
- On the Opportunities form, select the opportunity that you want to convert.
- Click Convert To Order to open the Convert Opportunity to Order modal form.
- Select Create Service Order.

Specify this information:
- SRO
- Select the service order or service order template you want to use to build the structure of the service order that will be created from the opportunity.
- Only Show Templates
- Item Substitute
- Optionally, select an item to be placed on the line of the service order when it is created. If using a SRO template that contains multiple items, this item is also used to select applicable SRO line(s) during creation.
- Create Opp Transaction on All Operations
- Select this check box if you want to create an opportunity transaction on all operations. Clear the check box if you want to create opportunity transactions for only the first line and operation.
- SRO Status
- Open is selected by default.
- Lead Partner
- Select a lead partner for the service order.
- Copy Transactions From
- Select the template transactions from which you want to copy:
- Planned
- Actual
- Estimate
- None
- Copy Transactions To
- Select the type of transactions to create:
- Planned
- Actual
- Estimate
- None
- Click OK to create the new service order, and to update the opportunity with the new service order number and the date of the conversion.
