Connections

Connections enable you to connect Infor Risk & Compliance to your ERP application so that data can be extracted from the ERP. The type of connection you use depends on the method of data extraction. Briefly, the basic connection types are :

  • Online connections: Used to extract data directly from the ERP system.
  • Offline or imported connections are used to:
    • Extract data remotely using the Portable Data Extractor
    • Perform a script-based or codeless extraction
    • Map data extracted through the Portable Data Extractor to an existing online or offline connection

The Connections page provides an overview of the existing connections in your system and displays details such as the server name, connection description and the number of Insights using a specific connection. Secured connections are indicated by the Secured icon and unsecured connections display the icon Not Secured icon.

The Server column of an Infor connection displays the ERP system for which the connection is created and is specified in the Application Code field while creating the connection.
