What if Analysis

What-if analyses help you to determine the impact of changes such as modifying role or responsibility assignments or creating new users before actually requesting the change in your ERP system. Only Authorizations Insights support What-if analysis.

The What-if home page displays the list of What-if analyses that need to be reviewed or on which actions need to be taken. This page also displays details such as the analysis name and type, the name of the creator of the What-if, the connection for which the What-if is created, the object impacted and the creation date. The creation date displayed on this page is according to the time zone defined on the Preferences page.

To view all What-ifs in the system (if you are the Administrator) or to view all What-ifs created by you in the past, click the History button.

Note: 
  • By default, completed What-if analyses are retained for 7 days. The default number of days can be configured on the What-if and Request Settings panel on the Configuration page.
  • Infor Risk & Compliance sends notification emails for following events for what-if analysis:
    • What-if Analysis Completed with Violation
    • What-if Analysis Failed

Analyses with or without violations are indicated with icons. Hover the mouse over the icon to know the status.

Click an icon in the Actions column to take action on the What-if, or click a What-if link to drill down to the Violation Details page.

To create a new What-if analysis, click the New icon. A drop-down list will display the What-ifs you can create, depending on the products installed.
