Lawson Inventory Insight - Math rule

This topic describes the process of building math rule conditions for Inventory Insight for Lawson. A math rule is required when you need computed data. A math rule condition may have :

    • Sum of
    • Average of
    • Count of
    • Maximum of
    • Minimum of
    • Absolute of
    • Variance of
    • Date difference of
  • Math Operators
    • Addition operator
    • Subtraction operator
    • Multiplication operator
    • Division operator
    • Modulo operator
  • Brackets
    • (.....) Brackets
    • ( Open bracket
    • ) Close bracket
Note: While building a math rule, multiple conditions within a group cannot be added and the right click context menu of Condition1 will be disabled. Users may add multiple groups. By default, the operator OR is used between these groups. This default operator cannot be changed.

Sample Math type of rule for  Inventory Insight for Lawson

The object of building this rule is to identify the back-dated receiver that may lead to processing of data in a wrong accounting period. Further such transactions should be reviewed for compliance with accounting standards on prior period adjustments.

Reporting Fields

Click the Reporting Fields tab to select additional fields you want displayed in the Business Process Exceptions report as well as the order in which these fields are to be displayed on the Exceptions browser.

The Rule Summary tab enables you to provide high level information about the reason for the exceptions generated by the primary object in a rule. This information is displayed on the third level of the Exceptions page.
