Process Insight- Duplicate Rule

Duplicate type rules are created when you need to view duplicate data. Data analyzed using these rules generate exceptions only if duplicate data exists.

Duplicate type rules can be created in one of the following ways:

  • By providing the same value set while building the rule condition on the Conditions->Build Condition tab.
  • By selecting the check box Check Duplicate Objects on the Conditions->Select Objects tab.

Provide the Same Value Set

This type of duplicate type rule can be created by providing the same value set while building the rule condition in the Build Condition tab of the Conditions tab.

Check Duplicate Objects

This type of duplicate rule can be created by selecting the Check Duplicate Objects check box on the Select Objects tab on the Conditions tab. When you select this check box, a template to build the rule condition is displayed on the Build Condition tab.

The template lists all the fields of the selected primary object. You can select one of the following options to build the duplicate rule.
  • Exact Match: Select this option to view exactly matching data. For example, two or more vendors with exactly matching tax ID.
  • Fuzzy Match: Select this option to view partially matching data. For example, two or more vendors with fuzzy matching tax ID. This option is available only for String Data types.
  • Do Not Check: IDs marked Do not Check will not be considered in rule condition.
Note: When building a duplicate type rule with fuzzy match criteria, select the Fuzzy Match option next to the required field in the template above.
