Baseline

The Baseline feature is applicable to the Master and Configuration Objects only. This feature enables you to take a snapshot of selected tables and their data after performing an extraction. The data in the snapshot can be used in a rule as a basis for comparison when a subsequent extraction is performed, to identify if any changes have been made to the data.

The Baseline home page displays the total number of categories selected for baselining. It also displays details like the total number of categories available in the system, snapshot status, Enabled/Total, Baseline count, Insight, Last Baseline Snapshot date, and the Last Baseline Snapshot By.

When using baselines, it is important to note the following usage behavior:

  •  IRC maintains only a single baseline snapshot of a table. When you take a second snapshot of the same table, the first snapshot is overwritten.
  • Snapshots are taken using the data that exists in the Infor Risk & Compliance database at that point in time. Infor Risk & Compliance does not initiate a new data extraction prior to taking a snapshot. Before you take a snapshot, ensure that data that is appropriate for your analysis has been extracted.
  • Snapshots are taken for all active connections. Data is not segregated by connection.

This page enables you to create a baseline category, that is, select the list of root objects corresponding to the tables that you want baselined. It also enables you to edit a baseline category, take a snapshot, generate a report, and delete a baseline category.
