Purging asset history

Purging asset history permanently deletes data. Before you run this process, backup the data according to your organization's procedures. Before you submit the report, carefully review the parameters.
  1. Select Utilities > Purge Asset History.
  2. Specify this information:
    From Date
    Specify the beginning date range for which to purge the records.
    To Date
    Specify the ending date range for which to purge records.
    Company
    Select a company or a company group. You cannot select both.
    Company Group
    Select a company or a company group. You cannot select both.
    Asset Group
    Specify the asset group to use to purge all records within the asset group.
    Asset Type
    Specify the asset type to use purge all records within the asset type.
    Sub Type
    Specify the asset subtype to use to purge all records within the asset subtype.
    Adjustment History
    Select this check box to purge adjustment history.
    Transfer History
    Select this check box to purge transfer history.
    Disposal History
    Select this check box to purge disposal history.
    Reinstate History
    Select this check box to purge reinstate history.
    Transactions
    Select this check box to purge asset transactions.
    Comments
    Select this check box to purge comments.
    Repairs
    Select this check box to purge asset repairs.
    Import
    Select this check box to purge imported assets.
    Simulated
    Select Yes to purge simulated asset records.
    Select No to retain the asset record and only purge the selected asset records.
    Select Only to purge asset records without purging the simulated asset records.
    Note: Simulated asset records are only purged if related asset adjustment, asset transfer, asset disposal, asset reinstatement, asset transaction, and asset repair do not exist.
  3. Click OK.
