Requesting other rater appraisals for an employee

Managers and HR administrators can request other rater appraisals for an employee. The Allow Other Rater Appraisal check box must be selected on the Rules tab for the appraisal form. Employees can request other rater appraisals only if, in addition, the Employee Can Request Other Rater Appraisals check box is selected on the appraisal form's Rules tab.

If employees can select other raters, the process starts with them. When the appraisal form is made available, employees receive an action request in their inbasket, select their raters, and submit. The action request is then routed to their manager's inbasket. The managers can review and approve or reject other raters, and add their own raters.

If employees cannot select other raters, the process starts and ends with the manager.

  1. Select Home > Inbasket.
  2. Open the Request for Peer Appraisal action request.
  3. On the Request Other Rater Feedback form, select the employees to request as other raters. For each employee, select the check box that best describes the relationship of the other rater to the employee.
  4. If you are an employee, click Submit.
    The request is sent to the employee's manager's inbasket where the employee's manager can modify the list as needed.
  5. If you are a manager, modify the list received from the employee. If you are the initiator, select the other raters and click OK.
    The appraisal form is sent immediately to the employees that have been asked to be other raters.

    Employees can access the Other Rater reviews that they are asked to complete on the Other Rater tab of Employee > My Reviews.

    Note: If email notifications are enabled, employees that are other raters receive email notifications.
