Updating multiple fields in one or more positions

Use this procedure to make multiple changes to one or more positions.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Jobs And Positions > Positions.
  2. Click the Mass Position Update tab.
  3. Highlight the position for which to perform mass updates.
    Note: You can use the Filter feature to locate the positions to change. For example, if you inactivated an organization unit, to assign the positions to a different organization unit, filter on all the positions associated with the inactivated organization unit.
  4. Change or add values in the Organization Unit, Direct Manager, and Dotted-Line Manager fields for any of the positions that are displayed.
    To change or add a value in a field, click the field on the position line. Select another value from the list, or click Select to view a list of selectable items. When you are done, click Save.

    Click Mass Change Enter New Values, specify the values, and click OK to complete the mass update.
