Profile

Your profile includes your work assignments, personal information, talent profile, and more. The list of components is subject to your organization's configuration.

The At A Glance page displays the current profile that others in your organization can view. You can use this page to change some data, such as:

  • Adding an address
  • Specifying personal information
  • Specifying work preferences
  • Specifying preferred positions
  • Specifying other preferences

These data are examples of information that can be maintained directly by you. Other data in your profile, such as competencies, must be validated by your manager or others. You can submit a request for validation for these items through your profile.

Keep your profile up to date so that benefits and beneficiary information is always accurate. Managers within your organization may read your updated profile when considering you for opportunities and advancement.

Changing your name

You, your manager, or an administrator can change your name. Your organization may require you to submit a marriage, divorce, or legal separation as a Life Event action instead. If your organization does not require approval for a name change, then your changes are displayed immediately throughout the application.

If your organization requires approval for a name change, then the new name is not displayed immediately. Instead, the name-change request is displayed as a pending change request. In the module, you can see and modify your manager's pending request, and your manager can see and modify your pending request. You can make changes until the name change is approved. When the request is approved, denied, or canceled, the pending request is removed from the display.

A flag next to the name-change request indicates suggested changes to your request. You can accept and save the suggested changes, resubmit the request, or cancel the request.
