Using the Connect package screen

Use the Package in Package transaction to include a package in a new or an existing package, or to disconnect a package that is already included in a package. This screen generates a report when a a package is added to the existing package.

On the Package menu:

  1. Select Package in Package transaction from the main menu.
  2. Click Next.
    Note: The Connect Package screen is displayed only, if the value of the Action to Report parameter is set to 1.
  3. On the Connect Package screen:
    Package
    The package number or the SSCC number. Scan the package number or the SSCC number.
    Note: 
    • This is a mandatory field.
    • If the package number is confirmed:
      1. All the information about the package is displayed (e.g. Location, Departure, Del Method, Route/Dep, Delivery/Ship, Customer, Cust Name, Loading Door, Del Pack Sts and Included In) if scanned package number or SSCC number is valid.
      2. If the scanned package number or the SSCC number is not valid, the error message is displayed.
    To Package
    The package number or the SSCC number where the current package is included. Scan the package number or the SSCC number.
    Note: 
    • This field is displayed if the Action to Report parameter is set to 1.
    • If the field value is blank, the confirmed data is set to *AUTO* and a package is created automatically, on delivery.
    • If this value is confirmed and the Package label print (To Package) parameter is set to 1 or 2, the PRINT TOPKG button is enabled
    Packaging
    The packaging type of the package number where other package number is included. Click Browse and select the number from the Packaging – Select screen.
    Note: 
    • This is a mandatory field.
    • This field is displayed if the Action to Report parameter is set to 1 and the value in this field is determined by the Sequence of input fields parameter.
    • This value is auto confirmed with the packaging ID for the existing To Package that is scanned. This value must be auto confirmed even if the Packaging ID is already confirmed with another value.
    • The user cannot modify this value.
  4. Click Print ToPkg. The Print Package Level screen is displayed.
    Note: Print Package Label screen is displayed automatically if the Package label print (To Package) parameter is set to 2. The user can also set a value for this parameter, for a specific profile of the Print Package Label.
    1. Specify the printer name in the Printer field.
    2. Click Next. After printing, the Label printed message is displayed in the Connect Package screen.
  5. Click Next.
    After the validation of data, the Package (Package number) included in (To Package) message is displayed in the Connect screen.
