Customizing Forms
As a user, you can customize many aspects of the way a given form looks, and save those changes so that, every time you open the form, it includes your changes. You can make these changes in run-time, regardless of your editing permissions
- The size of the form
- The position of the splitter in multiview forms
- The sequence of how columns in a grid are displayed
- The width of columns in a grid
- Whether columns in a grid are displayed
Note:
- Your system administrator must have the Allow saving form runtime changes process default set to 1.
- You must select both of
these
Runtime Behavior options
in
User Preferences:
- Prompt to Save Form Splitter Changes
- Prompt to Save Grid Changes
If you do not select these options, you cannot save run-time form changes.
Any changes beyond these require that you have editing permissions that allow you to go into Design Mode and make changes there.
