Moving or Resizing with Snap-to-Grid

When you move or resize a component, you can automatically adjust its size and position to the nearest grid line. The lower the snap-to grid setting, the finer control you have over the location of components.

To enable snap-to-grid settings:

  1. On the View menu, click Settings.
  2. Click Design Time.
  3. Select Snap to grid.
  4. In the Grid width and Grid height boxes, specify settings for the distance between horizontal and vertical grid lines. Components are adjusted to the nearest multiples of these numbers.
  5. Close the Settings window.
