Component Shortages APS

This form and report support the APS Planning Process. When APS plans a demand, if it doesn't peg a component to inventory, that item is considered short and then displays on this form. In the case of a job order, the lack of a shortage does not imply that all of the materials have been issued.

Note: When you run this form unfiltered, demands of type PLN will not appear in the results. To view PLN demands, enter Filter in Place mode, select PLN in the Demand ID field, then turn off Filter-in-Place.

After you filter by demand information, the results display in the grid:

  • Reference: The Supply Reference that APS has pegged to, that is, the specific purchase order or job.
  • Item: The component that is short.
  • Usage Date: The date that the supply is currently being consumed.
  • Usage Qty: The amount of the component item needed for the current demand.
  • Planned Qty: The portion of the Usage Qty that could not be met by existing inventory.
