Scheduling Extraction and Data Processing for Cloud Applications

After configuring an Application Connector to connect to an enterprise application, you can schedule regular data extractions and process the data.

To schedule data extraction and processing for Application Connectors

1. Go to Admin - Process Data - Schedule Data Processing. The Schedule Data Processing tab displays the existing schedules.
2. To add a new schedule, click Actions -> Create New Schedule. The New Schedule dialog opens.
3. Enter a name, select the schedule type from the list of configured connections, and select the extract groups to use.

By default all extract groups are extracted. Click the Extract Group button to specify which extract groups to use for this schedule. See Creating Extract Groups.
4. Check Process Data After Extraction to process data for the specified processing groups following the extraction. Click Processing Group to select the processing groups for which to process data.

Tip: In the Processing Groups dialog box, click the arrow next to the Processing Group name to see the sources in the processing group. See Assigning Sources to Processing Groups.
5. Select the recurrence and time to run the extract.

Important: Starting with 5.17.3 the timeframe of the schedule must be unique within the space.
6. Click Save.

The newly created schedule is listed on the Schedule Data Processing page. By default it is enabled. An email notification is sent when a scheduled extraction has finished running.

Tips:

To disable or delete a schedule, select the schedule, then click Actions and select Enable/Disable Schedule or Delete Schedule.

To modify a schedule, select the schedule, then click Actions - Modify Schedule.

To run the schedule immediately, select the schedule, then click Actions - Run Now.

You can copy an extraction schedule from a previous release version to the current version or within the current version. Select the schedule, then click Actions - Copy Schedule. Modify the name and times, then click Copy. The schedule times must be unique across all connections in the space.

To migrate Application Connector data processing schedules to the current release version

  1. Go to Admin - Process Data - Schedule Data Processing. The Schedule Data Processing tab displays the existing schedules.
  2. Select a schedule row and click Actions - Modify Schedule.
  3. Click Save.
    The schedule is saved using the current release version.
